Contact Creation or Update

In Business Central there is a possibility to create or update contacts. The import can be realized via 2 ways. Once via the call of the import interface or via the sales order creation. In the sales order interface, the contact must exist and can be additionally updated via this.

Import

Via Interface

The contact import interface is filled by the shop. The shop fills a container table in BC. Afterwards, Dynamics BC checks the content.

Via Sales Order Creation

If a contact is sent with the sales order creation in which the address data is different, the system automatically updates the address information on the contact.

Export

The webshop can call the export interface for the contacts and the shop receives an XML with the relevant contact information as a response. (See interface specification)
